Captain Jim and Laurie want to welcome you to the Charter experience of a lifetime. We’ve been owner-operators of this business for over 26 years. You will experience an intimately personal trip and the natural beauty of British Columbia up close. The scenery is different each day and you’ll see sights that can only be seen from the water. Waterfalls, natural hot springs, whales, porpoises, rare white spirit bears and of course uncrowded fishing. Our guests are treated to a rare “once-in-a-lifetime” experience. We anchor close to the fishing grounds in secluded anchorages, usually with no one else around. We can also tailor your trip to your desires!

Captain Jim and Laurie welcome you aboard their 60ft Monk design motor yacht— the M.V. Ocean Sun. Designed with walk-around decks and a covered aft section. From the comfort of the yacht or new Tender you’ll fish for Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, Red Snapper, not to mention crabs and prawns! This year besides experiencing our new tender for fishing we also have the addition of Beastmaster 9000 electric reels with 3300 feet of tuff line.

While enjoying your British Columbia coastal fishing on the Ocean Sun or our new Tender, you can expect to fish for prawns, shrimp, Dungeness Crab, Halibut, lingcod, Rock Fish, and whatever species of salmon that are in season including Chinook (Kings) and Coho (Silvers) our main catch, although Pinks (Humpies) and Chum (Dog) sometimes pester us.

Our fishing tour leaves Kitimat and takes you 50 miles down the Douglas Channel, surrounded by islands, waterfalls and hot springs to our most productive fishing areas fringing the open waters of the Great Pacific.

Laurie, our chef, specializes in preparing the days harvest in gourmet fashion. This is likely the freshest seafood you have ever eaten.

Although most people fly into Terrace, there are several other nearby airports that all have easy access to the Marina (Gulf Islands, Campbell River, Port Hardy, Bella Bella).
